Mark has always haunted antique shops, and when he was in London in 1969 he purchased this very unique piece. It's a large, heavy 19th Century North African Black Powder Flask. It has beautiful engraved patterns, and rings to attach it to a belt or saddle. The spout originally had a cork, and the opening allowed the user to load or dispense gunpowder. It measures approximately 4-1/4" wide, 1-3/4" deep, and 6-1/4" in height, all measurements including rings. It's made of an unknown metal, probably brass, and like many examples of these pieces, might have silver accents. See first picture below for the most likely silver accents. We decided to let YOU determine whether you wanted to clean and change its current patina.
Includes TWO 5" x 7" photos of Mark from that trip, which Mark will personalize to the name of your choice.
