Proposed Raider Documentary/Reunion Documents - Personally Autographed to YOU by Mark

This is an offering featuring 16 documents from 2013 regarding a proposed Raider documentary, also including an email referencing the documentary and discussing a million dollar Raider reunion offer proposed by Joe Thomas, who works with Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys. It includes:

- email from Mark to Joe
- 5 pages of notes
- 4 pages of various emails back and forth regarding project with Marchetti
- 6 pages of research on Marchetti's resume

The background: in 2013, Mark found out about a proposed Raiders documentary being produced and directed by David Marchetti, after seeing an upcoming Kickstarter campaign using his name and photo to promote it. Mark had never been contacted, and you just can't solicit funds using his name and likeness for a project he hadn't even heard about, let alone approved.

When contacted, David said he had talked with others in the Raider "family" but couldn't figure out how to contact Mark. Mark expressed his concerns as well as explained the legalities, and conversations began. Marchetti's background in this level of biographical music undertaking was non-existent, and he wasn't even quite sure what Terry Melcher's involvement was with the Raiders. He had done zero research, had minimal plans, and couldn't even tell Mark what the title of the documentary meant. ("Running for the Train.")

In the end, Mark told him that he could not even begin to support the project unless Marchetti brought in a musicologist and someone who was familiar with the group, giving him names who had done extensive research and interview of the band. The project had all the hallmarks of an expensive and embarrassing disaster that would damage the legacy of Mark and The Raiders.

And that was the end of it.
